Form I & Form II students made a visit to the weather station situated at the Dsm International Airport on 15th September, 2005.

During the visit students received lectures on: 1. Function of a weather station 2. The use of various weather equipment.

Most interesting was the Automatic Rain Gauge and sunshine recorders.

The visit was very valuable to the students who got an opportunity to observe the practical part of instruments learnt theoretically in the class.

Activity:Field trip to Soap and Detergent Factory

Class: Form III

Form III Science students made a visit to a soap manufacturing company on 9^th August, 2005.

The visit was very successful as students could observe the theory they knew on preparation of soap was put into practical terms.

Equally important they saw Qualitative Analysis being done in the factory laboratory as a procedure of controlling the quality of products manufactured.

The factory manufactures toilet soap under the following Brands:

• Beauty Soap
• Family Soap
• Malaika Soap

Detergent Brand is - TESA which is popular in Dar es Salaam.
