The saying goes "a feather in your cap", however, on Friday, 25th November, 2005 the Primary Section got "two feathers in our cap" when Tanzanian Posts Corporation and Lions Club of Dar es Salaam, Pwani District awarded prizes and certificates at an unexpectedly colourful and lively ceremony also attended by the Zonal Manager and his deputy from Tanzania Posts and the Asst. District Governor, Lion Hashim, the chairperson of Lions Club Pwani, Lion Zahira Patwa, 4 members of Lions Club Pwani and the proud parents of the winners.

Tanzania Posts awarded the 2nd National prize of the 34th Universal Postal Union International Letter writing competition to Khadija Juzar Zavery of Std V. She received a certificate, a cash prize of Shs 150,000 and a gift. Rashida Mulla Shabbir Jamaly was awarded the 4th National prize certificate, a cash prize of Shs 60,000 and a gift. The English teacher, Fatemaben Hassan's and the school's efforts were also appreciated with a gift each for both. Al Madrasa was praised for its achievement.

This followed the declaration of results of the Lions International Peace Poster contest whose theme was "Peace without borders". 30 eye-catching entries from our pupils aged 11 to 13 yrs were judged by professional artists, Bhai Muzaffer Sulemanji and Milan Divecha. Zainab Vejlani of Std VI emerged the winner and her poster was selected as the club's entry which was sent to Uganda for the next round of selection prior to the final universal selection in New York. The grand prize includes $2,500 and free air tickets for child and one parent to New York apart from 23 merit prizes of $500. Lions Club Pwani awarded a certificate to Zainab and a cash prize of Shs 15,000, the 2nd winner, Sakina Amiji received Shs 10,000/= and the 3rd and 4th winners, Fatema Ayubali and Rashida Mulla Shabbir Jamaly received Shs 7,500/=. All the 30 participants received a certificate. Our Art Club teacher, Mrs. Neelam Tanna played a vital role in guiding the pupils and Al Madrasa awarded her with a token of appreciation for her efforts.

Most of the visitors who had heard about Al Madrasa for the first time were greatly impressed and they praised the school for its education friendly environment and high standard.

This is among the several boons that Allah showers on us simply because of our Beloved Moula's (TUS) nazaraat and doa mubarak.

May Allah grant our Mushfiq Moula (TUS) a long, long life of robust health. Ameen.
